Sergio Cruz.
Sergio Cruz is the Master Distiller of Yéyo Tequila and a part owner. Yéyo is produced at Destilería El Ranchito, NOM 1414, in Arandas, Jalisco.
Sergio has been making tequila for more than 20 years. His entire tequila-making career has been spent alongside the Vivanco family at NOM 1414 in Arandas.
Part chemist, part artist, he spent more than a year working with founder Jon Bullinger to develop Yéyo's cooking methods and flavor profile. He lives and works in Arandas, where he guides Yéyo's fermentation and distillation.
In the Barrel Room, Jon and Sergio keep exploring different woods, previous fills, aging approaches, proofs and blends together. Jon brings the questions. Sergio and the team in Arandas turn them into tequila.
"I have a deep passion for Yéyo and for what Jon and I have created together. Our partnership comes from more than tequila—it comes from nearly 15 years of friendship, trust, experimentation, and a shared desire to keep creating something special."

The Vivanco family.
Destilería El Ranchito, NOM 1414, belongs to the Vivanco family, whose story with agave began long before Yéyo.
The family's history as agave growers in Arandas begins in 1929. At the end of 1994, Feliciano Vivanco and his children established the family's tequila operation in Arandas—today home to NOM 1414.
Their roots in agave stretch back generations, and today NOM 1414 remains a family-run distillery in Arandas, now carried by the fifth generation of the Vivanco family.
Yéyo is made there in partnership with the Vivanco family, who have joined Sergio Cruz in hand-signing select one-of-one Yéyo releases.
Sergio Vivanco.
Sergio Vivanco works alongside Sergio Cruz and the Vivanco family to carry forward the family's tequila-making traditions while supporting the experimentation and creativity behind Yéyo.
